LUNCH WITH THE JUDGE's
Alabama Bench and Bar Historical Society is honored to be able to reach out to the young adult students that are expressing interest in becoming attorneys and maybe future judges. Our contribution in helping these students to achieve their goal is having a "Lunch With The Judge" at their law school. In achieving their goals, they will in turn one day become part of legal history, hopefully Alabama's legal history!
We have presented 'Lunch with the Judge' at Cumberland Law School, Jones Law School and the University of Alabama Law School. We look forward to continue working with the law schools in Alabama to provide this unique opportunity to the law students.
If you are connected with one of the law schools and wish to schedule an event with us please contact me:

Membership Drive
PLEASE READ
Our membership drive by mail is underway. We have mailed applications to many of the highly populated areas of the state. While the response has been good, it could be better! If you are a member we thank you and ask that you tell your co-workers and friends about us. Send them to our website.
We currently have approximately 160 members and while that is a good response, there are over 16,000 attorneys in the state of Alabama. We know that we will never have everyone as a member, but with your help and our mailing of applications, we are hoping by this time next year we will have at least doubled in members.
What do I get for my membership?
Currently, you will be mailed a quarterly newsletter that the staff and contributors try to keep interesting with historical stories, statistics etc. Your membership helps us travel to the law schools in Alabama to bring such events as "Lunch With The Judge". We also will be planning another roadshow for next year. One very important thing you do get, is the satisfaction that you are helping keep the judicial and legal system history of Alabama alive. Too much history is being lost/destroyed and we are attempting to make sure that it will not happen to Alabama's legal history.
The true fact is that without members we would not exist.
Please pass the word along to anyone you feel may be interested, attorney or not. We are open to the public as well for membership. This website is not a closed site, it is open to all, so share it with your friends.
Just click on our membership page, complete the form, select your membership type, pay and that's it! ABBHS Wants YOU! Join today! If you prefer you can mail a check to ABBHS, P. O. Box 722, Montgomery, AL 36101.
